What To Know Before Purchasing A Puppy

1. Contact Me, the puppy's breeder and current owner. You can email me at witpdachshunds@gmail.com or message me through Good Dog at https://www.gooddog.com/breeders/a-walk-in-the-park-missouri . 2. Ask Questions. Once in contact with me, ask me as many questions about the puppy, my program, and my contract as you need! I will always send more pictures and videos of the puppies upon request, although due to my busy schedule it may take a few days to get them for you. I am always willing to facetime as well, and we have several positive reviews on our Facebook page as well as on our Good Dog page.

3. Discuss Transport Options. The puppies are currently located in Neosho, MO. We will need to figure out how you want the puppy delivered to you, or if you want to come pick up the puppy. My puppies are ready to leave whenever they turn 8 weeks old, but sometimes I may hold them for an extra week or two if I feel the puppy needs more time to grow. We can deliver puppies to most locations for a fee of $395. We can meet partway to surrounding 4-state areas either for free or for a smaller fee to cover gas. Or, you may come pick up your puppy in Neosho, Diamond, or Granby for no additional cost. We can usually meet about an hour away for no additional cost.

4. Place a Deposit. Now you can purchase that puppy! I will require a deposit of $600 to hold that puppy for you until it is ready to leave. The deposit will be considered a down payment and will go towards the final cost of the puppy. My deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE in the case that you decide you no longer want to purchase the puppy. They can, however, be moved to a different dog or to a future litter if you so choose. I WILL refund a deposit only under these circumstances: if I decide that I no longer wish the puppy to go home with you, OR if the puppy falls severely ill, under injury, or dies while in MY care. I may require an additional fee to cover extra costs if you ask me to hold a puppy for several weeks or months after they are ready to leave, but I will NOT ask for an extra fee if I myself decide to hold your puppy for a few extra weeks. 

5. Final Payment. You may pay me the remaining amount owed to me on the day that the puppy is delivered or at any time before we book their transport. If you decide to ship, then the full price including transport fee will need to be paid before we book a flight. Payments can be made through Good Dog, PayPal, Venmo, or in cash if you decide to pick up the puppy in person. I will not take cash that has to be mailed to me. If you purchase from me through Good Dog, then all payments must comply with Good Dog's policy. Good Dog requires all payments to be made through them to prevent scams.

 Seller Agreements

1. This puppy/dog is registrable with the AKC, UKC, or APRI, and the seller has provided their registration papers to the buyer at the time of delivery.

2. This puppy’s registration has ( ) full rights ( ) limited rights.

3. This puppy will ONLY be replaced with a puppy of equal quality if the seller is provided all corresponding paperwork to the puppy AND is provided a veterinary certificate that indicates the puppy suffers from an inherited or congenital debilitating and incurable chronic condition within one year after delivery to the buyer. This does NOT include conditions that are known to the buyer before purchasing, which may be listed below:

4. Seller will not reimburse veterinary or transport costs under any conditions.

5. This puppy is healthy at time of delivery, has had standard immunizations for their age, and has seen a vet within 72 hours before delivery. All corresponding paperwork, vaccination records, and health certificate will be provided upon puppy delivery. The seller does not guarantee the quality, size, colour, breeding ability, show ability, or otherwise ability of this puppy.

6. If at any time the buyer is unable to keep or care for this puppy, then they and all corresponding paperwork MUST be returned to the seller. This puppy may not be rehomed, sold, or given away without the seller’s permission and knowledge beforehand. 

7. This puppy may NEVER be intentionally put in a position in which they may end up in an animal shelter, animal rescue, or with an animal rights or advocacy group. If this puppy is put in such a position, then the puppy is to be returned to the seller at the buyer’s expense, without compensation, and the seller will never sell a puppy to the buyer again.

Buyer Agreements

1. The buyer agrees that if at any time and for any reason they are unable to keep or properly care for this puppy, then it shall be returned to the seller at the buyer’s expense. All corresponding paperwork must also be returned to the seller.

2. The buyer agrees to never intentionally place this puppy in a situation in which it is possible for them to end up in an animal shelter, animal rescue, or with an animal rights or advocacy group.

3. The buyer agrees to maintain this puppy’s health by providing yearly vaccinations and basic necessities such as feeding, watering, grooming, and exercising.

4. The buyer agrees to not sterilize, spay, or neuter this puppy before the age of 12 months unless deemed medically necessary by a vet.

5. The buyer agrees to prevent any unregistrable, mix-bred, and accidental litters from being born to this puppy. 

6. Should this puppy become ill or unsound while under the care of the buyer, then all costs of treatment will be the full responsibility of the buyer.
