Finding your best friend will be a walk in the park with us!
We try to make all of our dog's information publicly available for your convenience. However, be advised that show title certificates and some pedigrees are not publicly available as it has been difficult trying to find a way to easily upload them onto our website. This being said, never hesitate to reach out to me at witpdachshunds@gmail.com and I will be happy to share my dogs' information with you.
All of our dogs are AKC registered. Breed-recommended health testing includes OFA Patellas and Eyes. I do recommend reading our disclaimer about PRA before evaluating our dog's genetic results. You can find that disclaimer pinned on our Facebook page, or at this link here: https://walkinthepark.dog/pra-testing . Another thing to keep in mind is that the vast majority of dachshunds-- around 94%-- have 1 or 2 copies of IVDD. This is not a concern for their health as it does not mean they will develop the condition.
Here is a list of dogs that are currently active in our breeding program. Some of these dogs may not reside with us. If you really love one of our parent dogs, send us a message-- some of our current adults may be seeking retirement homes once our younger dogs are of breeding age. Our girls typically retire after 1-3 litters.
As a "sneak peak" into what our program will look like in the future, here is a list of some of our up-and-coming breeding/show prospects. Not all of these dogs may reside with us, and not all of them may join our future program-- that depends on their future health testing and how they grow.
As a breeder, the hardest decision to make is when to retire an adult. Unfortunately, in order to continue breeding, we cannot keep every single retired adult or puppy that isn't breeding quality. Sometimes our adults are available with full rights, and sometimes they are pet only. Please give our adults some time to adjust to your home! And always send us a message for details.
Angel will have 1 more litter with us and then be ready to go home in mid 2026. She has her full CHIC and is embark tested.
After Fawn's current litter, she will be seeking a home. She has OFA's and Embark testing completed.
Michael has his CHIC with all breed recommended OFA's, a full EMBARK panel, and he is an APRI Champion.
Here is a list of a few dogs that used to be a part of our program. These dogs now live with other breeders or families. Many of these dogs are the parents or grandparents of our current and upcoming dachshunds.
While we no longer breed Alice, he is still utilized in other breeder's programs. He is UKC pointed, APRI champion, and with all breed-recommended health testing completed.
